About us:

Love My Buns is a new company based in Kemptville, Ontario and producing mostly organic, grain free, gluten free, paleo, GAPS & SCD-friendly buns and bread products.

Chefs Bruce Enloe and Nicole LeBlanc own and operate a small Texas themed restaurant that uses organic and local products in Kemptville, Ontario. The two chefs/partners both trained at Millennium Restaurant, a world class organic & vegan restaurant in San Francisco, where Bruce was both sous chef and the co-author of the 2003 cookbook, The Artful Vegan (10 Speed Press). Nicole was a recipe tester for the cookbook, a pastry chef and, after a time, the assistant general manager for the entire restaurant.

In 2009, after moving back to Nicole’s native Canada, they had a daughter who was eventually diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Coming from a background that had given the two a solid footing in the relationship between health and diet, they embarked on an odyssey of personal research. In this process, they became aware of the many dietary approaches that had been used to help mitigate certain symptoms of the disorder, including gluten and casein elimination, paleo and eventually grain-free and the specific carbohydrate diet.

After years of trial and error, a stasis settled in with their daughter’s health, strongly believed by both to be a result of the diligent adherence to these new dietary changes. In time, the two chefs began to adopt many aspects of the diet for themselves, an effort that rewarded them both with unexpected health benefits. Being trained chefs, and coming from a background that celebrated restrictions and encouraged creative solutions, the two took the new diet as a challenge—How could they still enjoy some classic and favourite foods without the option of using many of the traditional ingredients? This challenge was accepted gladly and in the process, a new product was born!

Love My Buns features a Grain Free, high protein bread product using organic, 100% non GMO, and natural ingredients. Our current line on offer is a Kaiser style hamburger bun; a one of a kind completely grain free, nut free, paleo bun that surpasses all comparable products currently in the marketplace—over two years of trial and error have gone into perfecting this consistent, tasty, versatile bun. To our knowledge, no-one else has succeeded in producing a comparable product and certainly not at a comparable price point.
